Chanel Resort 2012

As fashion prepares for it's Spring 2012 collections, Resort 2012 is already old news.  However, it's hard for me to refrain from sharing all the little fashion ideas/discoveries/rants that I have in my head.  But to spare you the nuisance of reading something that is so last month, I'll skip my review of Chanel Resort 2012, and instead, get straight to the good stuff.  Can I just say how amazing the black and white beach ensembles were?  Simple, strict, but oh-so-luxurious.
When Kristen McMenamy came out, it was definitely one of those "wow" moments.  Her look remains my favourite look from the collection...although those fabulously plush-looking Chanel blankets are vying for my attention.

    ooh i love the sort of kimono-esque robes in the first few pictures. What gorgeous bathing suits!! Though I wouldn't want to do anything but sunbathe in one of those, I'd be too scared of getting it dirty. http://thearcenciel.blogspot.com/

    I'm not a black and white kind of girl (UM HELLO COLOUUUR), but I can certainly appreciate it. B+W is such a chic combination, and this collection definitely epitomizes it! Haha. But I have to agree with the comment above -- sand + black + white = possibly a terrible idea!

    So very chic! You can't really go wrong with the monochrome, especially if it's Chanel. The third one is my favorite. And you're right about the beach towels, though for that price, I'd be terrified of getting them wet or laying them on the sand!

    @Dahl, Lexy and Haute World: Very true! These emsebles are better suited for show, than for actual lounging on the beach. Although I can definitely imagine these being worn at a luxe swimming pool. No sand there!

    this is not the typical Resort designed wears that I see anywhere, the black and white idea speaks above bright colors in this collection..
