I meant to post this all the way back in February, and here it is, finally seeing the light of day:
Now here's something that's certainly not for everyone. I've never been a huge fan of harem pants, but I spotted these Club Monaco Natalie Pants a while back (it's no longer in stock, and it's sold out online):
What makes this pair of slouchy, harem pants more acceptable to me is the fact that it's made from silk. The sheen of the silk not only gives the pants a glamorous feel, it also touches on the loungewear trend. As well, these pants are not too ridiculously baggy and there is some sense of fit. For some people, it might resemble too much a pair of luxurious pajama pants, but with the right outfit, these pants could be perfect for a night of clubbing. Here's a look at how Club Monaco styles it:
While I might not be eager to wear these pants around, I can imagine someone pulling them off wonderfully, looking both comfortable and cool.

Hi Angelica! They look really chic for harem pants and I'm not even a fan of them because I think they are hideous if it's too baggy but this is just perfect and I love the styling! Yeah, summer has kept me pretty busy, especially with my job but now that I'm also taking classes, it's definitely up until 2:00AM every night for me! xoxoxoo
ReplyDeleteTHOSE LOOK RIDICCCC COMFY AND CHIC on top of it!
ReplyDeleteLOVE AND NEED! can you still buy them? you said you've had this post in mind since feb...are they still available?!?!

I agree, I've never been a big fan of harem pants, I actually just read in Glamour that like 90% of guys or something hate them. hehe. BUT I would totally wear these. They are shiny and fun and would be really nice for fall and winter.

I love them, Angelica. I like harem pants, and have a couple of them. They are mighty comfortable, and add a dash of glamour when you need it.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I am following you now. High time, isn't it?

I totally tried these on and almost bought them!! I love them, and Club Monaco always seems to make the most gorgeous pants in silk. I tried on a great pair just yesterday (kind of a relaxed beach look this time).
ReplyDeleteI've never been a fan of harem pants but i gotta say, these are definitely an exception!! i love how the fabric is silk, that softness against the body feels fab!!!hehe

These pants are gorgeous. I have always been intrigued by harem pants but only in theory. I think it takes a certain body type to make the pants look good. I, unfortunately, do not have that body.
ReplyDeleteBut they are still fun to look at and imagine different ways of styling.

Those pants are uber awesome!

I think Harem pants is just so high fashion that I can't pull it off. These, I'd consider trying on, but... still, that's only because of the material.

i like to try them with pumps platforms...i wish i am updated! Makes me think and think what to wear on Fashion's Night Out.. missed your blogs ...=)
ReplyDeleteI'm not into harem pants too,
ReplyDeletemakes me think of MC Hammer back in the day:)
This one is acceptable because it is not too baggy, and definitely comfy.
Very pretty and I agree, I'm not usually a lover of harem pants. But the key is definitely the styling. This pair only works with heels and a blazer. Worn with flats (or worse yet... sneakers) or a hoodie and you end up looking like a genie or a dated rapper.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful trousers, chic and comfy !
