Cover Girl

The cover is one of the most important things for any fashion magazine.  It has to grab you, draw you in, and make you whip out your money (or library card, in my case).  And although I've seen countless amazing covers ever since I started following fashion, here's one that I want to share with you:
This is Flare's December 2010 cover, featuring Olivia Wilde in a silk-chiffon dress by Monique Lhuillier.  What drew me in wasn't Olivia Wilde, but the dress.  I'm not even going to try to describe how gorgeous this dress is; it speaks for itself.

    That is really really gorgeous. You know when you click a page and as it opens you just say WOW!!! ...that's what i did. Can you find the runway look for this dress...i would love to see how the bottom part of it looks...

    I love Olivia... But the beauty of this dress puts any other thing on a "second level"... The silhouettes developed by the dres, the lOvely match of the color and the essente of Lhuillier style: all these things make the dress perfect for a cover :)

    ooh what a gorgeous dress!! Not exactly my personal style but fabulous creation never the less. I always love to look at the covers of magazines and soak up everything, and this cover is really interesting! Haha me too, i love to get mags from the library :)

    Couldn't agree with you more. I mean, Olivia doesn't exactly hurt the cover (stunning!) but the dress is the centerpiece.
