Shoeaholic

I just received an amazing Christmas present yesterday: a pair of Aldo Giombetti gladiator sandals.  Technically, it's not really a present because it's actually a hand-me-down from my friend, but she has only worn it once, and the shoe is in pristine condition.
I also received a pair of gold Tory Burch flip-flops, in somewhat less of a pristine condition, but still only worn a couple of times:
As much as I'm ecstatic to own a bit of Tory Burch, the gladiator sandals really steal the show.  I've always wanted a pair of gladiator sandals, but I didn't want to spend a lot of money on such a trendy style.  The sandals are not made from real leather, but that's not really a problem in this case.  And I'm so glad that there's a slight wedge on the sandals, because I love having a bit of a heel on all my shoes, even my flats.  I can't wait until Spring comes so that I can finally wear them out!  Whoever said you can never have too many shoes is a genius.

  1. The last sentence is the most expressive "fashion-slogan": I can understand that you descirbe him/her as a genius....Anyone needs a new pair of shoes almost every day...so really true statement.

Btw, I don't liek the first sandals are a bit heavy and I don't know too much "Gladiator style" so I don't like them a lot. But the Burch sandal is really interesting....especially the heel!!

  6. Wow!!! You are one lucky duck!! My favorites are probably the Tory Burch sandals, as I'm not a huge fan of gladiators, although I like the style of those ones! http://thearcenciel.blogspot.com/

  7. My wife definitely agrees on a girl cannot have too many shoes, I had to modify the biggest cupboard to house her shoes. She also likes a high(est) heel, and likes a bit of a heel even on her flats. Some women are so alike... :)

Thanks for your welcome comment on wearing fishnets, I tend to agree with you.

    Have a lovely day.
    Colin.

  17. Ah! Those gladiotors are gorgeous...and I'm quite jealous. I'd count them a gift too! They would look great with a flirty floral skirt, floaty top, and vest...

  18. @E and Dahl: I know what you mean. I have seen more badly designed gladiators than good ones. But these, although at first I thought they might be too much, actually look quite sleek on the foot.

@Cupcake: That is exactly what I'm tempted to do! I love the way the sandals feel on the foot. Hurry up Spring!

@sexylegsandbody: Nice to hear your wife is the same! Heels, even if just slight, make women feel more confident...at least that's how I see it. And besides, I love the sound of a good heel on the sidewalk.
