Top 13 Stylish Celebrities

This post, like all my other posts from the past couple months, is long overdue.  I would love to write about the latest Spring/Summer collections, but I am ashamed to say I have barely had the time to follow up on them.  Obviously there will be no Fashion Week Marathon on my blog, but I will be making a post about the collections eventually, and let me know if there are any collections you want to see reviewed!

For now, I'd like to share the last article I wrote over the summer for the youth magazine.  It was an extremely fun article to research and write, and quite ironic considering I'm not a fan of celebrity fashion.  Yet I've realized that in fashion, you can have a personal style and you can critisize certain looks (oh let's be honest here, aren't we always judging in fashion?), but you have to have a certain appreciation and acceptance of all kinds of fashion.  So that's what I did when I wrote my last article, titled Top 13 Stylish Celebrities.  And just to note, I actually personally do not like Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, or Justin Bieber, but considering the audience of my article, I decided to add them in due to popularity.
To make this article even more special, a lovely girl wrote a Letter to the Editor referencing my article.  Nothing is better than knowing people have something to say about what you've written.  Over the summer, I remember writing on my blog that my time at this youth magazine would surely not be the last, and it seems my determination has paid off, as I am now writing for more publications than I ever have before.  I'm grateful for my position at Scopic Magazine (thank you DG), as well as all the publications at school that allow me to do what I love most.

  1. Justin Timberlake is definitely my #1 male style icon, he can dress up, dress down, and still look SMOKING HOT. Emma Watson is also one of my favorite celebrities to hear from, she always seem to be doing something worthwhile, her style is very classy and european, I really love it. (my boyfriend told me his friend saw her -emma watson, at Brown's.... Legit lol) Great to hear that you're happy with all your posts Angelica! :) I wish I could say the same but school has just been such a killer :'(

  2. FIrst of all I miss your posts so much and I hope you will end soon with your university exams (or at least with the "extra work" that doesn't allow you to write on your blog...) because I really like reading what you write. Yeah I changed the layout of the blog just some days ago because I was so tired by the other layout and because I wanted to try this new "dynamic view" that are more similar to a newspaper website.

SPeaking about your post, I agree with you about Bieber and Gomez (I hate them, especially Bieber...). I love Lively and Hathaway and Gaga (maybe is my fav one), I consider very stylish too leighton me ester, Zoe Saldana, Lucy Liu and Fanning's sisters (these are my other favorites ones). Hope to read other posts soon and good luck for your exams or for your university :D

  3. Hello darling! So happy for you that you're able to write for more and more publications ... I bet it's just the beginning! Taylor Swift looks so cute in that short dress ... have you ever seen her with her hair ironed straight and with bangs ... she looks SO different! I actually like it that way and wish she'd wear it like that more often as it makes her look more mature. Anne Hathaway is always a stunner!!! Thanks for letting us in on this great article! Left you a response to your comment on the blog right here: http://tiny.cc/u00eo ;)

  7. I love the choices that Anne Hathaway makes, although I do wonder if there is a stylist involved, and I read somewhere that Blake Lively doesn't have a stylist, which makes me love her even more...

  8. I think you are a wonderful writer and definitely have a bright future in fashion journalism.
Even though celebrity style isn't your favorite-you did a fantastic job on this piece. And you tailored the article to the appropriate audience by adding Gomez, Bieber and Swift.
I truly respect your work ethic.

  11. Such an excellent article. And what an accomplishment! Celebrity style doesn't need to be your favourite to write well about it and analyze it. Personally, I think Blake is a revelation, no stylist either!

  14. This is a great list you put together! I'd have to say my favorite is Lady Gaga. She is just so out-there, and I feel like she's made it acceptable to be weird. For prom this year I'm going for a Lady-Gaga-if-she-was-slightly-more-normal-look. Haha. I love Emma Watson's pixie hair cut and girly outfits. She is so freakin' pretty. And Anne Hathaway always looks stunning. I love Rihanna's style too! Your writing for this article is great, you are so talented!

    xoxo
