Big, Bold and Beautiful

Finally, after much waiting, the second issue of my school newspaper has come out.  Seeing as this is the March 2011 issue (it was supposed to come out in March), naturally I would write about spring trends.  Again, I surely don't expect or want you to read the entire thing, but what you can see is that I choose a look from Jil Sander to represent the trends of spring.  If you saw the article I wrote for the youth magazine, you will remember that I said it was all about being bold this spring, and I think Jil Sander got that message across loud and clear.
There have been a couple of improvements to my school newspaper this issue, such as colour photos, a more professional layout, and public viewing access.  However, as you can maybe see, they have decided to not include the writers' full names.  They merely put a first initial with a full last name.  Unfortunately, this probably has to be done in order to protect privacy now that our newspaper is open to public viewing.

  1. Great article! I especially like the line about "prints went bananas-literally." Pretty funny pun there. I'm really excited for warm weather to try out some of these styles--bright stripes and bold color-blocking and maybe playing with white a bit. It's great that your school's newspaper is improving!

  13. Hi Angelica! I just read your article and it's so well-written and I always enjoy reading your reviews! I agree that to wear the spring bold colors, you need a lot of confidence and it's the most important component in any outfit, in my opinion. Jill Sander is definitely a stand-out collection as I've seen their collection in almost every editorial! xoxoxoo

  25. I love that Jil Sander dress. What do you think about the anonymity though - seems a shame not to make your talent more public?
